The Post Hostel

The Post Hostel occupies the top floor of Jerusalem’s historic Central Post Office building, a structure completed between nineteen thirty-four and nineteen thirty-eight. Designed by architects Austen Harrison and Percy Winter during the British Mandate, the building was created to house the Palestine Post, Telegraph and Telephone services, along with the city’s central telephone exchange. Its facade is marked by seven distinct arches along the main entrance, which were originally used as individual booths for selling postage stamps.
