The King David Hotel is identified by its façade of locally quarried pink limestone, rising six stories above King David Street. Founded by Egyptian Jewish banker Ezra Mosseri and opened in nineteen thirty-one, the hotel was designed by Swiss architect Emil Vogt to reflect an ancient Semitic aesthetic through its arches and interior motifs.
