Palazzo San Benedetto functions as the town hall of Amalfi. It occupies a position overlooking the Piazza Municipio, a space redesigned as a community gathering area. While it acts as the seat of local government, the structure originated in the late fifteen hundreds as a women’s Benedictine monastery dedicated to the Santissima Trinita.
