Bell tower of the cathedral

The bell tower of the Amalfi Cathedral is recognizable by its circular belfry crowned with four smaller corner towers, all decorated in brightly colored green and yellow majolica tiles. Construction of this Romanesque structure began in eleven eighty and continued for nearly a century, reaching completion in twelve seventy-six under Archbishop Filippo Augustariccio.
