The Valle dei Mulini is a deep, narrow gorge carved into the limestone plateau of Sorrento by the Casarlano-Cesarano and Saint Antonino streams. Its defining visual characteristic is the series of ruined, stone mill structures at the bottom of the ravine, their crumbling walls almost entirely enveloped by thick, encroaching vegetation.
