The ruins of the Hiroshima Imperial Army Headquarters appear today as a cluster of foundation stones set within the grounds of the Hiroshima Castle complex. These remains trace the footprint of a building that once functioned as the Japanese Imperial General Headquarters during the First Sino-Japanese War in the eighteen nineties.
