The Bell of Peace sits inside a small, open-sided structure capped by a dome that represents the universe. You can identify it by the pond surrounding the belfry, which is filled with Oga lotus flowers. These flowers were grown from seeds excavated from two-thousand-year-old ruins, a choice made because lotus leaves were used to cover the wounds of victims on the day of the atomic bombing.
