Atomic Bomb Memorial Burial Mound

The Atomic Bomb Memorial Burial Mound is a grass-covered knoll about eight feet high and fifty feet across, enclosed by a low fence. Situated in the northwest corner of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, this simple earth swelling contains the cremated remains of approximately seventy thousand victims of the atomic bombing on August sixth, nineteen forty-five.
