The Children's Peace Monument is a nine-meter-high bronze structure featuring a girl standing atop a three-legged pedestal, her arms raised to hold a golden paper crane. Two figures of a boy and a girl are positioned on the sides of the pedestal, which stands as a memorial to the thousands of children who died following the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on August sixth, nineteen forty-five.
