Deliplein

Deliplein is a pedestrian square in the Katendrecht district of Rotterdam, recognizable by its central grouping of restaurants and bars housed within historic brick architecture. The square serves as the social heart of what was once a notorious sailors’ quarter known locally as De Kaap. During the early twentieth century, this area drew sailors from across the globe and became home to one of Europe’s earliest Chinese communities, gaining a reputation as a bustling, often rough, port district.
