Erasmusbrug

The Erasmusbrug is defined by a single, one hundred thirty-nine-meter-tall white steel pylon that leans back at a sharp angle. Because of this asymmetrical shape, locals call the structure The Swan. It spans the Nieuwe Maas river to connect the city center with the southern districts, serving as both a cable-stayed bridge and a massive bascule bridge with a movable section for shipping.
