Kijk-Kubus Museum-house

The Kijk-Kubus Museum-house is a bright yellow cube tilted at a forty-five-degree angle and perched high upon a hexagonal pylon. It is one of thirty-eight identical residential units that form the Blaakse Bos, or Blaak Forest, a complex designed by architect Piet Blom and completed between nineteen eighty-two and nineteen eighty-four. Blom intended for each cube to represent an abstract tree, turning the entire development into a vertical village where inhabitants lived under an urban roof.
