Santa Claus by Paul McCarthy

You can identify this sculpture by the figure of Santa Claus, who holds a large, stylized pine tree in his hand. Created in two thousand one by the American artist Paul McCarthy, the bronze statue stands on the Eendrachtsplein square. It was originally commissioned for a different location near the De Doelen concert hall, but the public reaction to the work was immediate and intense.
