The Rotterdam

De Rotterdam stands on the Wilhelminapier as a cluster of three interconnected towers that appear to shift and separate depending on your angle of view. Designed by the Office for Metropolitan Architecture and completed in two thousand thirteen, the complex reaches one hundred fifty-one meters in height. It occupies a shared six-story base that creates a massive, unified silhouette along the River Maas. The building takes its name from one of the ships of the Holland America Line, which historically used this pier as a departure point for thousands of emigrants traveling to the United States.
