Stellenbosch University Museum

The Stellenbosch University Museum occupies a striking building on Ryneveld Street, identifiable by its deep red brickwork and Flemish Renaissance Revival style. Architect F. W. Hesse designed the structure, which opened in nineteen oh seven to serve as the Bloemhof Girls' School. Its facade features white detailing against the red walls, creating a polychromatic effect that distinguishes the building from its neighbors.
