Parliament Building

The Parliament Building in Bern is identifiable by its massive green copper dome, which rises sixty meters above the Bundesplatz. Completed in nineteen oh two, the structure anchors the center of a three-part complex known as the Federal Palace. Architect Hans Wilhelm Auer designed the building to represent the entirety of the Swiss Confederation, choosing to source ninety-five percent of its construction materials, including thirty varieties of stone, from thirteen different cantons across the country.
