Kulturzentrum Reitschule

The Kulturzentrum Reitschule is a complex of buildings defined by their exposed brick facades and steep hipped roofs. Built between eighteen ninety-five and eighteen ninety-seven by architect Albert Gerster, the site originally served as a riding school and stables for the city of Bern. After motor vehicles replaced horses, the space was used for storage for decades until its transformation in the late twentieth century.
