PRYZM Brighton occupies the Kingswest Centre on West Street, a structure defined by its flat roof and prominent position in the city’s nightlife district. Opened in October nineteen sixty-five as the Top Rank Suite, the venue was part of a post-war development plan that originally included a bowling alley and ice rink. In its earliest years, the site hosted live jazz performances before transitioning to feature acts such as Joy Division, Culture Club, and Annie Lennox.
