St Nicholas' Church

St Nicholas' Church is identified by its position on high ground at the junction of Church Street and Dyke Road. It is the original parish church of Brighton and the third oldest surviving building in the city. The current stone structure dates primarily to the middle of the fourteenth century, though its history in the village of Brighthelmstone stretches back to the Domesday Book of ten eighty-six.
