The ADC Theatre on Park Street is a white and blue building that functions as the oldest university playhouse in Great Britain. Founded in eighteen fifty-five, the venue began as a space for Cambridge University students to meet and perform in rooms above the former Hoop Hotel. While the original structure was destroyed by a fire in nineteen thirty-three, the building was quickly reconstructed and reopened by nineteen thirty-five.
