The Gibbs Building is a long, three-story range of white Portland stone that stands on the west side of the main courtyard at King’s College. Designed by the architect James Gibbs, its exterior is characterized by orderly bays and a rusticated ground floor, topped by a pedimented center section. It has stood here for three centuries, paired with the much older King’s College Chapel to create a view recognized across the world.
