Everton Brow is marked by a small, stone-built structure known as the Everton Lock-Up. This Georgian-era building, which features a distinctive conical roof, sits within the landscape of Everton Park. Completed in seventeen eighty-seven, the structure served for decades as an overnight holding cell for local drunks and those accused of petty crimes before they could be brought before a magistrate.
