The Eagle Ironworks is marked by three pairs of eagles perched upon the former factory gateposts, with the largest stone birds sitting at the main entrance on Walton Well Road. This site, sandwiched between the Oxford Canal and St Sepulchre’s Cemetery, once operated as a foundry where workers cast iron lamp posts, manhole covers, and ornamental railings for the city.
