Casa Soberanes is a two-story adobe residence recognizable by its vibrant blue front garden gate and a symmetrical facade featuring a cantilevered balcony. Built in eighteen forty-two by Rafael Estrada, a warden of the local Customs House, the structure represents the Monterey Colonial style, which combines local adobe construction with architectural influences from the East Coast.
