Old St. Patrick's Church (San Francisco)

Old St. Patrick's Church, standing on the eighteen hundred block of Eddy Street, is a simple wood-frame building with a history of travel. It was originally built in eighteen fifty-four on the south side of Market Street, near the site where the Palace Hotel stands today. As the city grew and land became more valuable, the church was uprooted to make space for commercial development. It was moved once in eighteen seventy-three and again in eighteen ninety-one to its present site in the Western Addition.
