Golden Gate Park - East

Golden Gate Park stretches over a thousand acres, but its eastern edge serves as the park's formal threshold, defined by a Victorian greenhouse of wood and glass. This structure, the Conservatory of Flowers, is the oldest building in the park, opened in eighteen seventy-nine. It stands as a survivor of the nineteenth century, having escaped the nineteen oh six earthquake, though it has endured fires and storm damage that required extensive restoration.
