Valencia Street station

The original Valencia Street station was once a major transit point for the San Francisco and San Jose Railroad, located at the intersection of Twenty-fifth and Valencia Streets. Opened in eighteen sixty-three, this site served as the inaugural San Francisco terminal for the railroad before the line was eventually extended toward the downtown area. A wooden depot building was constructed here in eighteen sixty-six, where passengers once boarded trains bound for the peninsula.
