Pier 19

Pier nineteen appears as a large, utilitarian warehouse structure reaching out into the San Francisco Bay from the Embarcadero. It is part of the city's extensive network of finger piers that run along the eastern waterfront, following the curved line of the historic seawall. Unlike some of the more ornate terminal buildings found elsewhere along this stretch, this pier is characterized by its expansive, shed-like footprint, which has accommodated a variety of storage, parking, and event uses over the years.
