Pier 33, known as Alcatraz Landing, is distinguished by the steady stream of visitors queuing for the only ferry service that officially docks at Alcatraz Island. Completed in nineteen nineteen, the structure serves as a gateway to the maritime history of the San Francisco waterfront. It remains an active hub for the port, housing fish processing facilities and restaurants within its bulkhead building and storage sheds.
