Crissy Field Overview

Crissy Field is identifiable by its long, flat expanse of shoreline and a sweeping tidal marsh that edges right up to the bay. This waterfront park sits along the northern edge of the Presidio, offering an unobstructed view of the Golden Gate Bridge. While it is now a place for recreation, the land was once an ancient salt marsh and seasonal home to the Ramaytush Ohlone people, with archaeological evidence of a shellmound dating back to seven hundred forty.
