Eagle Plaza

park garden

Eagle Plaza is defined by a large Leather Pride flag that flies eighty feet above the pavement on Twelfth Street, near the intersection with Harrison. This public space sits directly outside the San Francisco Eagle, a bar that has functioned as a cornerstone of the city's leather and LGBTQ community since nineteen eighty-one. The plaza occupies what was once an underutilized stretch of street, now reconfigured with wider sidewalks and a chicane to slow traffic.
