Harvey Milk Plaza

Harvey Milk Plaza sits at the intersection of Market and Castro streets, marked by a prominent flagpole flying the rainbow flag. This space occupies the area above the Castro Muni Metro station, which opened in nineteen eighty. The plaza serves as a public entrance to the station and a gathering point in the heart of the neighborhood. It was officially dedicated to Harvey Milk in nineteen eighty-five, seven years after his assassination.
