The Tubbs Cordage Company Office Building is a small, rectangular, single-story wood frame structure painted a dark brownish-red with white trim. Once the headquarters for the superintendent of a massive industrial rope-making plant, it now sits within the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. The building is a rare survivor of the city's Victorian-era industrial landscape, distinguished by its redwood siding and simple, functional design that once stood at the center of the first commercial rope factory on the Pacific Coast.
