Tabernacle

The Tabernacle is a four-story brick building distinguished by its classical style and white trim. Constructed as the Third Baptist Church, it opened in nineteen eleven under the leadership of Doctor Leonard Gaston Broughton. Broughton was both a physician and a pastor, and the building originally housed a medical infirmary with three beds that eventually grew into the Georgia Baptist Medical Center.
