Georgia Aquarium

The Georgia Aquarium sits near Centennial Olympic Park, distinguished by a massive glass and steel exterior that houses over eleven million gallons of water. Opened in two thousand five, the facility began with a two hundred fifty million dollar donation from Home Depot co-founder Bernard Marcus. He envisioned a space that would encourage both education and economic growth in downtown Atlanta, eventually creating a destination that housed tens of thousands of animals across seven galleries.
