Spoon and Stable

Spoon and Stable is housed in a brick-and-timber building from nineteen oh six that served as a horse stable for the surrounding warehouse district for most of its first century. Today, the space features twenty-five-foot-high ceilings, skylights, and original exposed brick walls where large arched windows were once embedded. When the restaurant was being designed for its twenty-fourteen opening, workers discovered Prohibition-era tunnels beneath the concrete floor containing old ladders, which were refinished and repurposed as art inside the dining room.
