The Seventh Street Entry is a small, intimate music venue defined by its dark, low-slung interior, which contrasts sharply with the expansive main room of the First Avenue club to which it is attached. The building itself, constructed in nineteen thirty-seven, began its life as a Greyhound bus depot, complete with a checkered terrazzo floor and Art Deco styling. In nineteen eighty, staff converted what was once the depot’s restaurant, known as the Greyhound Cafe, and later a coatroom, into this modest space to give local bands a place to perform.
