Philly AIDS Thrift occupies a three-story building at seven hundred ten South Fifth Street, distinguished by an eclectic, crowded storefront that spills onto the sidewalk with donated goods. Founded in two thousand five by four HIV and AIDS activists who described themselves as lovers of junk, the organization began as a small operation before expanding into this permanent site.
