Omni William Penn Hotel

The Omni William Penn Hotel occupies a full city block on Mellon Square, defined by a massive facade of light-colored stone that rises twenty-three floors above the sidewalk. Opened in March nineteen sixteen, this luxury hotel was the final building project of industrialist Henry Clay Frick, who commissioned the architects Benno Janssen and Franklin Abbott to create a showplace intended to rival the grandest hotels in Europe.
