Washington Square is identified by the massive, gray sandstone Salt Lake City and County Building rising from the center of this ten-acre block. Designed in the Richardsonian Romanesque style and completed in eighteen ninety-four, the structure features a prominent clock tower that reaches two hundred and fifty-six feet into the air.
