The Congress station of the Hungerburgbahn is recognized by its white, sweeping roof shell that appears to rest precariously above the street corner. Designed by architect Zaha Hadid and opened in two thousand seven, the station serves as the lower terminus of a funicular railway that climbs from the heart of Innsbruck up to the Hungerburg district.
