The Dauerausstellung Maximilian1 is a permanent exhibition located within the Imperial Palace, or Hofburg, in Innsbruck. It occupies rooms once used by Emperor Maximilian the First, a central figure of the House of Habsburg who lived from fourteen fifty-nine to fifteen nineteen. The exhibition occupies a series of chambers where modern digital media and traditional artifacts combine to present the life of the monarch, who is frequently remembered as the last knight for his dedication to chivalric traditions and his active participation in knightly tournaments.
