Pile Gate

Pile Gate is the main entrance to the historic walled city of Dubrovnik. You can recognize it by the double-arched stone bridge that leads across a deep, green passage where a defensive moat once sat. This bridge connects to a heavy, formidable gateway structure that has served as the western portal into the Old Town for nearly five centuries.
