The Church of Saint Blaise is recognizable by its grand staircase and the ornate, Venetian-style dome that rises above Luža Square. Commissioned by the Dubrovnik Senate, this Baroque structure was completed in seventeen fifteen to replace a medieval predecessor that burned to the ground just a few years earlier.
