The Rector's Palace is recognizable by the elegant stone portico and courtyard that define its facade. This two-story structure served as the political heart of the Republic of Ragusa, housing the office of the Rector, the Minor Council, and the state administration. The building also functioned as a high-security facility, containing an armory, a gunpowder magazine, and a prison.
