Buza Gate

The Buža Gate is a simple, modern breach cut directly into the massive stone fortification walls on the northern side of the Old Town. Unlike the city’s historic entrances, which were designed with complex defensive bridges and guarded passages, this opening is a direct and blunt passage through the masonry. Its local name, Buža, translates to a hole or a gap, a term often used for a tear in clothing.
