The Clock Tower rises thirty-one meters above Luža Square, marking the eastern end of the Stradun, the city's main limestone-paved promenade. This slender stone structure is crowned by a dome and houses a heavy bronze bell cast by Ivan Rabljanin in fifteen hundred and six. Two mechanical figures, known locally as the Zelenci or the green twins, Maro and Baro, stand on opposite sides of the bell, ready to strike it with their hammers to announce the hour.
