Kavana Central Restaurant

Kavana Central occupies a prominent building on Narodni trg, the city's People's Square, identifiable by its nineteenth-century facade that blends historicist style with decorative secessionist touches. Established around seventeen eighty, this site holds the status of the oldest coffee house in Split. Throughout the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, it acted as a major hub for the city's social, cultural, and political life.
