La Danse de la fontaine émergente is a monumental fountain on Place Augusta-Holmes that depicts a dragon appearing to wind its way into and out of the pavement. The sculpture is formed from stainless steel, glass, and plastic, with a transparent skin that allows viewers to see high-pressure water circulating within the coils. It sits directly above an underground facility that filters non-potable water drawn from the Seine to irrigate city parks and clean the streets.
