Tomb of Edgar Degas

The tomb of the painter Edgar Degas is located in the Cimetière de Montmartre, a burial ground established in eighteen twenty-five on the site of an abandoned gypsum quarry in the eighteenth arrondissement of Paris. Degas, a central figure among the artists who formed the Impressionist movement, rests here in division four, near the eastern wall of the cemetery.
